The German Society of Lifestyle Medicine (GSLM) is the German medical society for preventitive and lifestyle medicine.

The GSLM is a non-profit scientific society that is focused on Research, Prevention & Treatment of Chronic Diseases through Lifestyle Changes.

The society supports and conducts research into the effects of lifestyle (diet, stress, exercise, sleep) on human health and develop lifestyle interventions to fight lifestyle related diseases, especially NCDs (Non Communicable Diseases such as diabetes, depression, stroke, cancer and cardiovascular diseases). A large part of these debilitating diseases could be prevented.  More than 90 % of diabetes, 75 % of cardiovascular disease and stroke and 60 % of colorectal cancers are potentially preventable by a few behaviour changes.1
